We’re Loud Mouth Productions: a female-led Scottish theatre production company with women’s voices at the heart of our work.
We focus on female-led plays and productions. Our starting point is the belief that women should have the space to lead a story, shape its telling and be seen in all their complexity.
Why female-led theatre?
There is no single kind of women’s story. There is humour, conflict, tenderness, anger, curiosity and contradiction. We want that breadth to have a place on stage, without reducing women to the supporting role in someone else’s narrative.
Our focus gives us a clear direction, while leaving room for different forms, tones and perspectives. What connects the work is the space it makes for female voices.
Scottish at heart
Scotland is part of who we are. It informs our identity and the perspective we bring to theatre, alongside a curiosity about stories and experiences from further afield.
